What happens when the students are away...

She smirked and took a drag on her cigarette "What's your point?"

"How do I know you'll behave yourself?" Raine responded.

"You don't" Mirochi giggled, shooting Raine a smirk. "That's part of the fun isn't it?"

And... Raine turned a bright red. Thats SO not what she wanted to hear!

Mirochi laughed and sat up, taking a drag on her cigarette. She then took another swig of sake and asked. "So... back from a mission are you?"

She nodded. "Hai, yes thats right." She responded turning back to face her.

"It's been a long time since I've had a mission" Mirochi says, looking back up to the sky. "I've just finished training a student today. She left on a mission of her own this morning"

Raine walked back over to her. "Aren't you proud of her?"

Mirochi nods and shrugs "Yeah, I am proud of her. She's a good student. Clever. I just don't know if she's ready for this"

"I can understand that." Raine responded. "Is that why your drinking?"

Mirochi shrugged again "Perhaps." She took a long drag on her cigarette, then flicked it away into the darkness and stood up, leaning against the wall of her home. "I guess I miss her somewhat"

"I'm sorry to hear that." Raine responded, with genuine feelings. "Maybe I could keep you company for a bit then?"

Mirochi gave her a glance and nodded "Sure, I guess that would be fine." She walked over to her front door and said "Come in, there's more sake inside"

She gave a nod, and a thank you before heading inside.

Mirochi picked up two more bottles of sake and threw one to her new friend, then sat on her bed and drank almost half of the other bottle in one go

"If you don't mind me asking, is something besides the student bothering you?" Raine asked, not sure if this was normal for the woman.

"It's nothing" she said with a sigh. "It's just that she was my first student and..." she sighed against and shook her head "Forget about it"

"Was she your lover?" Raine asked. That what made Raine werid. She had no problem asking questions like that.

Mirochi shook her head "Nah, she's too young for that" She took another swig of her drink and sighed again "It's been much too long since I had a lover at all"

"Then you were close, like mother and daughter?" She commented, being able to see that.

Mirochi shrugs again "I suppose you could say that." She bit her lip and said "I hope that little squirt doesn't get into any trouble"

"I'm sure, she'll be fine." Raine tried to assure her.

"She's going to be a kunoichi. It's not exactly likely she will be alright" Mirochi said, then she finishes her bottle of booze and drops it on to the floor before resting her head glumly in her hands

"Okay, let me rephrase, I'm sure she'll d alright on her first mission." Raine tried again.

"Perhaps. But what about the second? Or third or fourth? When do things not become alright?" Mirochi looked irate, staring at the floor. She then slumped back on her bed and coughed, apparently still a little drunk
